Steve earned his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and studied international economics at American University. He began his career in technology in 1990, working in networking and security for companies including Bechtel, Cohesive, 3Com, Microsoft, Good, and Exodus.
In 2003, Steve started Cobaltix to deliver technology, security, and data analytics solutions that were at that time missing in the market. In 20 years, his firm has grown to over 80 specialized technologists delivering services to multibillion-dollar clients around the world. In addition to working directly with clients, Steve also lectures on security and business at top universities in California and in Europe.
Outside of work, Steve devotes significant time to the foundation he started – Cobaltix Innovation Labs – and he works to bring the world a little closer together by working with young people, immigrants, and refugees. Steve is also an accomplished open water swimmer and ultra cyclist.
